WHAT ARE ANTI-WRINKLE INJECTIONS (BOTOX)?

Anti Wrinkle Injections commonly known as Botox is a drug made from a neurotoxin produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum called botulinum toxin. It is used medically to treat certain muscular conditions and cosmetically to remove wrinkles by temporarily paralyzing muscles.
Botox relaxes facial muscles resulting in a smoothing of the skin and reducing the lines we create when we make facial expressions. Frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead wrinkles can all be significantly reduced by injecting tiny amounts of botox with a very fine needle.
THE PROCEDURE AND RECOVERY
Within the first few days you will see a marked improvement that may continue to improve for as long as a week. A review appointment will be arranged for you after 2 to 3 weeks to check the results of your and have a FREE top up.
Results should last up to 4 months and longer in patients who have had anti-wrinkle treatments regularly. Botox relaxes the overactive muscles whose repeated contractions cause the lines to form. WHAT ARE DERMAL FILLERS
Unfortunately over time our face starts to produce fine lines and wrinkles caused by the ageing process. Your genetics and lifestyle factors such as sun exposure, nutrition and smoking can all contribute to this.
Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a substance found naturally in the body which hydrates and plumps the skin. HA fillers are widely used to restore the HA that we naturally lose and this gently lifts out the lines and wrinkles returning your skin to a restored appearance.
DERMAL FILLER RESULTS
After the Dermal Filler treatment there may be some minor swelling after the treatment is completed. Results are usually visible the same day. 10-14 days after the treatment swelling should have resided and the effects of the Dermal Filler will be more noticeable.
Over time, your dermal fillers will be absorbed by your body so you’ll need to have them topped up if you want to maintain the appearance.

WHAT ARE LIP FILLERS
Dermal fillers are used to treat the lips and surrounding area. The HA filler can add and restore fullness to the lips, smooth out fine lines around the mouth and create more volume and definition to the cupids bow, philtrum border.

THE PROCEDURE AND RECOVERY
On the day of your treatment, you will have the opportunity to go through any last-minute questions you might have. The nurse will begin by applying a numbing cream to the areas where the lip filler is going to be injected. Once the cream has taken effect, the nurse will use a fine needle to carefully complete the series of small injections, and then ensure the filler is evenly distributed. The treatment usually takes about 30 minutes and, although you may experience some slight swelling or bruising, the results will be visible straight away. You can book a free consultation to go through any questions and decide on the best treatment for you. As soon as your treatment is completed you should be fine to go about your normal daily activities. Any swelling or bruising that has occurred during the treatment will usually disappear within 48to72 hours
